Tiffany James - Assistant Principal
With 18 years in education and the start of my 19th year coming in 2026–2027, my professional journey has included 11 years in the classroom, 2 years as an instructional coach, and several years serving as an assistant principal. Experience in both K–8 and high school settings, including a decade as a music teacher, continues to shape my approach to leadership and connection with students. Outside of school, music remains an important part of my life, and I enjoy performing with a community choir.
Work in education is grounded in the belief that students thrive when supported as whole people—academically, socially, and emotionally. Strong schools are built through partnership, and collaboration with students, families, and staff is essential to creating a safe, positive, and consistent learning environment where students feel known, supported, and challenged.
My husband and I enjoy our three daughters and the new joy of being grandparents. Family keeps me grounded and continually reinforces the importance of schools that care deeply for children and the adults who serve them.
It is an honor to serve the Deer Valley Middle School community and to continue working alongside families and staff in support of student growth and success.
