About Mr. Thomas Hancock
I am an experienced educational leader with 23 years of service in education. Throughout my career, I has served in a variety of roles, including five years as a classroom teacher, one year as a curriculum coach, five years as a K–8 Assistant Principal, two years as a K–8 Principal, and ten years in District Human Resources Administration. I am married and we have four children. My family serves as a constant source of inspiration and motivation in both my personal and professional life.
As an educational leader, I believe in a proactive rather than reactive approach to leadership. I am committed to building strong relationships, fostering positive school cultures, and anticipating challenges before they arise. My philosophy centers on supporting students, staff, and families through collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.
With extensive experience in both school and district leadership, I bring a broad perspective and a dedication to creating environments where students and educators can thrive. I am truly excited to be working with our families here at Deer Valley Middle School.
